Goodwill Caravan continues to fight to gain access on the ground to help Refugees in Greece. Over 30,000 unaccompanied forcibly displaced children have disappeared after their arrival to the borders of Europe. Goodwill Caravan’s main mission is to provide the services and information needed to prevent human trafficking and exploitation.
Cries for help from refugee families and children who fled to Europe often fall on deaf ears. One thing we’ve all learned is that there are no winners in war, only casualties and endless loss. There are hundreds of thousands of forcibly displaced people in Europe who are exploited due to a lack of reliable, valid information to help keep their families safe and enable them to be independent. For example, our outreach team recently spoke to a Palestinian teenager in Greece whose family sacrificed everything for him to flee Gaza and be safe, only to lose their lives in the past months. A whole family wiped out, and now this boy feels lost. Like so many, he has no clue what to do with his family reunification application as his family is now gone.
Thousands of Palestinians and refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan, Sub-Saharan Africa, and many other regions who made it to Europe are now grieving with little to no psychosocial support or legal aid available in detention centers or closed camps. The few services that do exist often have long waiting lists that can take years. NGOs like Goodwill Caravan and sister organizations continue to fight to gain access on the ground to help them. Cases like this push our team to persist in fighting for the access and support these refugees need. Your Donation Will Make A Difference
