Work In Pakistan

Refugees in Pakistan

Pakistan currently hosts around 3.7 million refugees, primarily Afghans who have fled decades of conflict and instability in Afghanistan. This includes approximately 1.3 million registered Afghan refugees under UNHCR protection, alongside many unregistered individuals. Due to ongoing conflicts in Afghanistan, Pakistan faces increased arrivals, further challenging local resources and infrastructure. Humanitarian agencies, including UNHCR, work to provide critical support such as healthcare, shelter, and education to ease pressures on both refugees and host communities

Supporting New Beginnings

Goodwill Caravan expanded its humanitarian efforts to Pakistan in 2023, focusing on education for Afghan refugee girls. Collaborating with the Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE), we aim to address barriers to education in refugee communities near Islamabad. This includes setting up safe, well-equipped schools and working with families to prevent risks like human trafficking. Goodwill Caravan’s work supports educational access, empowers girls, and promotes community integration, marking a meaningful new phase in our mission to assist displaced populations globally.
